Summary: A bilingual catalogue of the Cypriot objects in the Severis Collection. The objects include Chalcolithic, Bronze Age, Iron Age and Medieval pottery, glass, metal and other miscellaneous objects such as picrolite figurines, plus some imported ceramics. This collection was largely assembled in the 1960s and 1970s when widespread looting of antiquities led to the growth of large private collections, many of which were later given over to the Department of Antiquities as part of an amnesty in 1973. The majority of objects come from the cemeteries of Souskiou, Marki-Davari, Eudymou and the area around the town of Galinoporni. Each object is illustrated in colour with a description in English and Greek as well as more general introductory comments on the different pottery types and periods discussed.
